Helpful FMLA Information
We know navigating FMLA can be tricky, so earlier this summer we worked with Littler to present the webinar The Basics: FMLA and ADA. Issue spotting, complex situations, and confidentiality are all covered in the presentation, which you can watch on our website.
The ComplianceHR Reference Center offers information to help you better understand FMLA.
In the Reference Center, select the topic Leave (FMLA) and your jurisdiction to learn more about leave for:
- The birth of a child or placement of a child with an employee
- Caring for a family member with a serious health condition; the state’s definition of “family member” is included
- When the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition including pregnancy
- Caring for a spouse, child, parent, or next of kin who is a covered service member or veteran with a serious illness or injury
- A qualifying exigency arising out of the fact that the employee's spouse, son, daughter, or parent is on covered active duty or call to covered active duty status as a member of the National Guard, Armed Forces, or Armed Forces Reserves
For more general information, check out the Comprehensive Guidance section under the Reference Center.
