Navigator OT Update Timeline

On July 1, 2024, the final overtime rule goes into effect, and the salary level needed to qualify for the FLSA’s executive, administrative, and professional exemption will increase to $844 per week ($43,888 annualized). To make sure you have some time to prepare, we have decided to update the salary rate in Navigator OT on June 17, 2024. Evaluations submitted after 9 pm EST that day will use the new salary level.

As you continue using Navigator OT, keep the following in mind:

  • The analysis and risk report will use the current salary level needed to qualify for exemption ($684.00 per week/$35,568.00 annualized) for any evaluation submitted before the update occurs.
  • Any evaluation that is submitted before the update occurs can be copied and re-submitted to see how the new salary level affects the risk analysis for the position.
  • An evaluation that is started before the update occurs but is not submitted until after the update occurs will use the new salary level for the analysis and risk report.
