New Littler Reports

We love getting to know and help our clients, and we are always looking for opportunities to share employment law information, hot topics, and updates with you. Last week we really enjoyed seeing some of you at Littler’s annual Executive Employer conference. This week we want to share three of Littler’s recent reports we think you might find interesting.

If you are interested in insights on new opportunities and laying the foundation for the workforce of the future while mitigating risks, check out “The Littler Annual Employer Survey 2023.” This survey shows trends in the hybrid work model and anticipated increases in disability accommodations, especially for mental health conditions.

If, like many others, you are interested in the role generative AI, such as ChatGPT, is and will be playing in the workforce, check out the report found in “An Overview of the Employment Law Issues Posed by Generative AI in the Workplace.” This report addresses concerns and the multifaceted and complex impact of generative AI in labor and employment.

If you’re interested in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) developments that happened during fiscal year 2022, check out the “Annual Report on EEOC Developments – Fiscal Year 2022.” In addition to case law and litigation statistics, this report includes key developments and anticipated trends.

You can check out additional updates from Littler on their News & Analysis page. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at support@compliancehr.com.

Where Did Pay Practices Go?

If you log into your ComplianceHR platform and notice your access to Pay Practices is missing - don’t panic! The resources that used to be found under Pay Practices are now available in the Reference Center!

Why did we make this change? As part of our product roadmap, we are updating the topics available in the Reference Center with our new report design. Having all of the topics moved to the Reference Center is a step in this transition. Plus, it means you only have to visit one link to find the reference content you’re looking for!

If you’re interested in the features and functionality that will be added as we update the content in the Reference Center, check out the reports that have already have the new design: Minimum Wage, Paid Sick Leave, and Posters. This list will continue to grow, so keep an eye out for updates!

If you would like more information about the Reference Center, check out our Live Open Office Hours. Feel free to contact us at support@compliancehr.com with any questions.

Overtime Resources at a Glance

Overtime is and always will be a popular topic. Not only do you have to weigh the risks of classifying an employee as exempt or non-exempt, but there are so many other details to consider, such as handbook policies about timecards, meal and rest break regulations, and employee bonuses and gifts, just to name a few. In response to questions prompted by our recent webinar “Overtime - What Employers Need to Know Today,” we worked with Littler to put together “What Employers Need to Know About Overtime: Top 12 Q&A’s.” We also wanted to provide a quick visual on some of the resources we provide to help you efficiently navigate the topic of overtime.
